Lessons I Have Learnt

Ok, my sporadic blog posts took an even more sporadic turn this year.  It's a reflection of how my year has been and how I am using these challenges as my teachers and receiving these gifts of learning as life’s lessons.

Everything changes, goals that were set last year were blasted out of the water as my family and I navigated serious health challenges whether they were felt physically, mentally, and or emotionally.

My good friend suggested to me “simply write this year off Diane.”  This year was a year of regrouping my thoughts, rebuilding my energy, of sifting out what was no longer needed, what no longer served me.  Preparing the ground for my future by planting seeds of what I would like to bring forward into my life.

It was about shifting perspective, and letting go of old belief systems, it was about figuring out what my gifts are and what floats my boat to get me up in the morning.

So what have I learned?

Tranquillity is a necessity in my life.  Outer distractions easily take me away from my inner world.

Listening to my body's messages is crucial.

Nurturing others is one of my gifts but not at the expense of draining myself.

It's okay to receive loving support from others and my surroundings.

Being in nature is my go-to place, leaving technology behind, and simply feeling into the pulse of the earth.

As this year draws to a close, do you take time to reflect on the learnings this year has presented to you?  To accept and make friends with all of the ups and downs?  To consciously leave behind what no longer serves you and invite forward into your life the positivity, love and peace that nourishes your soul? I hope you do, its well worth the time to acknowledge your year and give thanks for EVERYTHING that has happened whether it’s a gift or a challenge.

Thank you 2024  🙏🏻

Thank you All for reading to the end💕
