How Do You Nourish Yourself?
Have you noticed how sporadic my blog posts are? Well that’s because …. I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed.
I was listening to a Youtube clip the other morning from a lady called Blossom Goodchild. She used the analogy that ‘you would never let your mobile phone battery run too low, you would put it on the charger to top it up’, it was a pertinent a reminder to me. When our own energy is running too low do we ‘plug’ in to top ourselves up?
There is an intensity out there in the world at the moment that can drag us down if we let it. I remind myself that change can often be uncomfortable. Life gets in the way of our plans. Procrastination occurs. Self doubt can get in the way... At the end of last year I had such great plans, visualising the year ahead, 2024, with positivity - well what happened to these plans? Life came along and presented serious health issues in my family that sucked the wind out of my sails. The intensity of the crisis has now passed and its time to get back on the horse again. So, where are you at? Are you are you riding high at the moment because you are taking care of yourself, or do you need to top yourself up?
My thoughts lately have been about checking in myself and questioning. What am I really passionate about? What makes me get out of bed in the morning? How do I move forward in a chaotic world? My business Tranquillity for Wellness is progressing slowly. My tranquil space is being shaped and reshaped as it is used. The energy in the room is building. The energy on this land is also building. After two years of being in rural Carterton the tranquillity here has allowed a new appreciation of being in nature. The stillness is palpable, and I know that moving into stillness is an essential part of my day even if it’s simply for a few minutes. I am being called to ‘Move into Stillness’ and that is not simply physically, its a stillness of mind as well. A half day mini workshop is percolating at the moment in-person and may be one on online. The winter months a head will allow me to sow some seeds in to this tranquil space that will be ready to burst forth in the spring (if not before).
