Summer Solstice Reflections

Each year when December rolls around again I take some time to contemplate what I have done in the year with my life.  What am I ready to let go of and what would I like to manifest in 2024?  I also like to use numerology to work out the energy of the coming year and what archetypal energy I will be running.

I think I can safely say that we have all experienced a bit of a roller coaster ride in 2023. Last year was a year of transformation for me and I stayed at home to create a new space that would reflect my families values.    I simply knew in 2023 that it was a year when I needed to go out into the local community and meet like-minded people.  Born and bred in Wellington I felt, a distinct calling that it was time to move, so my whole family sold up and moved to rural Carterton.  The energy of the 1.6-hectare property we brought was exactly what was needed to live our dreams.  We have no animals to eat the grass because we have been busy planting native trees and developing a circular meditation walking path and an area for a fire pit.  We mow some grass and keep some long for the birds, bees, and other insects. In a farming community like ours this might seem like madness.

A couple of months of work over last Christmas/New Year saw the transformation of a teenager's ‘sleep out’ into a functional multipurpose space for small yoga classes, a teaching space for spiritual connections, and in particular, a space to Move into Stillness.  This is called my “tranquil space”.  I have connected with a group of like-minded souls as well as made feminine business connections.  The Tranquil Space was christened in November by running my first ‘moving into stillness’ mini-course and I am planning to follow this on in the first quarter of the new year with an “inner guidance - following your intuition” four-week course too.

2023 has been a year of work on many levels.  One of the most promising shifts has seen me letting go of fears, as well as releasing old belief systems about who I am and what my skills are as the world shifts and changes.  So what has this year brought for you and what do you want to create in your life next year?
