Misty Mornings

This morning it is still and misty outside.  Oh so beautiful.  The distant trees are simply silhouettes without clear definition. I hear the birds singing and the occasional bray of the neighbour’s donkeys.

A calmness pervades this space, it is tranquil.  There is no hustle and bustle of needing to be anywhere this morning.  It is time to sit with myself and simply be.

Time seems to be speeding up.  The winter solstice has come and gone.  We are now moving back towards the light.  So taking time to ‘Be’ instead of ‘Doing’ in these more internally focused winter months is refreshing and restorative.

Remind yourself to stop, take time out for a micro-moment in your busy day, look around and appreciate your environment where ever you are.  The shape of trees with no leaves; early “spring” flowers; the temperature of the air on your face; sounds around you.  Take the pulse of Mother Nature.
